A trend that weve been following here at TFoP is sports writers, who are paid to write about sports, taking shots at politicians (usually conservative), and spouting their political views simply because they have a pulpit from which to speak. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but, sportswriters dont have any more right than you or I to spout off political thoughts, and furthermore most dont want to hear it. OAK BLUFFS During last years Obama family vacation on Marthas Vineyard, part-time island resident Tom Murro and his daughter, Lauren, got to meet the president at Farm Neck Golf Club. For the second year in a row, the quarterback who spends his summers on the verge of retirement was driven to Vikings headquarters on the Tuesday following the team's first preseason game.
